I have that same floor in the cargo area of my van, but it's comprised of small interlocking tiles. Where did you find the larger sheets?

Was it a special order thing?

Edit: Just realized you indicated the online store, so I checked and sure enough, there it is...

I wanted a mostly continuous roll to keep liquid spills and sand from getting between tiles.

Already feels better than the wood I had in the last van.

Yep, that's a real concern with the tiles. Sheets are significantly better.

I love some of the wood and Pergo floors folks have installed in their vans, but I need something with built in friction, to keep loads from sliding around. This stuff really fits the bill.

Some finishing touches on the seat bases (still more to do)

Small item storage on the sides of seats. There are 4 of these carpeted and bungee corded areas to put small things on. Organization and "places to put things" is key in a small camper.

Awesome!!!!

I love that van and wish we would have had the option to buy them here! ( then I wouldn't have to go building one!)

I've noticed that on some of the forums the pictures of your van are missing (bad image hosing links?) Could you please post a bunch of photos? And any info would be great too!!

Thanks for the pics! Post more! Wink

Just an FYI since you might not know. We stopped getting VW vans here at the end of the T4. Crying or Very sad TDI, Syncro, full ca pet were never an option. The later vans (1997-2003) only has th vr6 and no manual gearbox option.

The early vans 1993/1995 only had the 2.5 petrol engine and the manual trans is somewhat rare.

Which is why we have to build anything we want.

Front shocks arrived. Bilstein HD. Still waiting on the rears.

Somedays it can take me for ever to do a simple project.

It's a pretty good indicator of a bad shock if it won't expand:lol3

Here's where I really slow things down. I can't stand dirty old car parts. I just flat out bugs me to put nasty crap back on a car.

Notice the shock mount plate above? Well, those took the most time since I had to degrease them, media blast them, and repaint them with an automotive paint. Now they can go back in the van!! Wink ......after I took them apart again and did another coat. Rolling Eyes

I love your attention to detail. Someday when I'm older and done with my current money-pit, a nice AWD TDI T4/T5/T6? would be nice to have built, and you'd be the guy! Smile

Replaced the old stock Weekender screens with Heavy duty dog resistant screens.

Looks much nicer, more modern, than stock and should be more durable.

Can you tell us what you are using and/or source? I'm guessing just heavy duty screen door replacement fabric from Home Depot.

PS - nice job!
