Just messing around on my phone but how about a out of the way camp spot for this? Looks like a paved road to get there, ill have to do some pre trip exploring to nail down a good spot...

Dugfresh, next summer at some point lets get up that way and see what we find...Wink

Im leaning heavily towards a USA Starti.g line, but ill probably still head through canada to get up there, just because.

Marek, carabus?

It'll depend on the start date. My daughter's birthday is Aug 2nd, so that weekend will be spent at home. If the dates work out, we can meet in Vancouver, otherwise I'll have to find you guys enroute.

Is anyone bringing kids along or would it be better to leave them at home with the wife?

Okay, whats the soonest day you can get to oroville? After her birthday stuff? I dont want to out you because of it.

We are getting closer to dates...between the 2-15....7 days that work best for everyone...

If we join, we will be in our zetec powered syncro westy.

For us it will be either the whole family (me, wife, two girls - 9 and 3) or none of us. Part of the decision on whether we join or not will be if there are other similar aged kids on the trip. The kids will have a blast if there are playmates on the trip but if it is all adults except them... then not so fun.

Part of the draw for us is not long ago we watched a Lassie movie which was filmed near Lake Chelan and the scenery was so gorgeous, camping in that area looks like it would be great. And for me personally: over the years I have explored many, many back roads and secondary highways in southern BC but in Washington state I have mostly traveled on interstate highways so I would love to see the areas this trip will traverse.

I don't want kids around that aren't going to have fun.

Also the more dogs the better.

Depends on the difficulty. Taken her trough Alaska no problem so it the roads are not to steep for a old 69 camper I would go.
