| Hey guys! Im new to The Samba but have known of it for years. I am a travelling climber and have been offroading and living in my Van for about 5 years. Stuart told me about this trip and im super stoked to join you guys! Cant wait for August to get here!!! |

Just putting this up on this page and clarifying that the 2nd half run that is meeting near Ellensburg will be spending Thursday night August 6th at a spot to be determined and hitting the trail head on Friday morning August 7th. Correct? |

2 weeks and no activity on this thread so Im bumpin it up!
Hoping to go from zero lift springs to 1.5s , have my 944 joint set up done ( thanks christoper at T3!) and a set of 215/70/16 AT2s mounted by the week prior. Too many camp trips planned between now and then for weekend work and burned out when I get home.
Cant wait to go!!!!! |

I'm fired up as well! Looking for work again, so we shall see if the new job allows me to do it.
As far as fire though....high likelihood of the route being closed this year thanks to our lack of moisture around here....thoughts? Change routes around fires, change dates?

Route closures due to fire could happen. We'll just have to work around them. Maps, maps, maps.
Speaking of fire. It will likely be the case that we Do Not build any fires while we're out there. I don't want to be responsible, even associated with burning down any forests...

And....as life happens...I won't be able to make it either 
I have a paid camp site south of Ellensburg if someone wants it...I believe it will hold like two or three vans.
I don't know how to transfer it to someone else but, if some one is interested in it, I will look it up.

I am sure we will be able to use and reimburse you for the spot. I know of 2 other vans meeting in Ellensburg Thursday eve.

Fires, I have an lp fire in a can that is not considered a spark style wood fire especially when the grille is on it as it becomes my "cooking vessel" has been okay with the rangers I have checked with. We can circle around it when needed. |

Looks like I have more time available and would like to caravan up from Eugene with anyone along I5 pdx salem etc that plans on doing the entire run.
Anyone?
I know of a few that are leaving pdx and meeting at the 1/2 way spot in Ellensburg Thursday night. This is what I was shooting for originaly. |
