Rometsch find (Jan 2015 Hot VWs article)

I was grocery shopping today and stopped to peruse the latest Hot VWs. Since this issue must have been on the magazine rack only a day or two I thought it was odd that there was only one copy on the stand. It's not like Hot VWs disappears in a week from Ralphs grocery. Anyway, there was a short article about some guy who scored a Rometsch in Palm Springs, CA. There was just one small photo of the car and the body looked pretty rough. It was a roller, i.e. it was on four tires.

In the same issue there was an article about someone who located an original fiberglass engine hood from the famous Inch Pincher dragster. Maybe that's what was located in Palm Springs. Confused

I seem to recall the name Randy Carlson from reading the mag today (since Randy is my name too) but I couldn't swear to it. Confused
