Sambas are more desirable so people talk more about them and maybe some people (or tony) added other owner's Deluxes in the registry for that reason... more than standard busses.
I think most of the known Deluxes are in the registry, but that is not the case for other busses.
For instance, I've never asked tony to add any of my busses in the registry and my Deluxe is in it, while none of my 2 other BD are... (and also none of the others I've owned)
IMO the registry is not accurate enough to make such statistics
That said, passenger busses was obviously less damaged during their work life so that might also explain a difference of how many survived compared to trucks |

I am not saying that this is an accurate statistics, it was just for fun.
we have been talking about the registry before and how accurate it is / how many other BDs still exist. My guess still is at least 3 times the registry number.
Sometimes it is just fun playing with numbers and rates, that's what I did
It is a fact though that 124 Sambas compared to 100 Single cabs versus 5000/18000 buildt, the listed Sambas are 4 times higher survival rate than Single cabs (on the registry).
I think you are right that people will more likely register a Smaba than any other model. _________________ Hotrods, Fords, Veedubs and Triumph Twins !
