I always thought that all dash pods (1938-52) were made of bakelite. I had never heard about dash pods made of metal.
The dash pod below belongs to a friend of mine. I would like to know more about. I have reasons to believe that it is an original part, not a reproduction.
For your information, I believe that the two holes were made by hand.
