Drove to town this afternoon to go top off the tank and run a few errands.

I thought that winter tires were required in Canada when there is snow on the ground

No, we're still good - Dec 15th is the deadline. We can take the winter tires back off on March 15th.

I'm sure that you enjoyed your last outing with The Silver Streak of Eastern Canada. A big year for that ride.

Had mine out yesterday afternoon after putting some Seafoam in the tank and topping it off....time for the proverbial "long winter's nap" for more than a few buggies up here in the northern quadrant of the Northern Hemisphere!

I would love to drive our buggy in the snow at least once. We went grocery shopping in it yesterday, but it's 48° F at night and 72° F in the afternoons here.

Cool! (literally)

I finally fixed the bad wheel bearing and took the Manx out to a local Christmas Parade yesterday. I did not realize it, but Darlene had never been in a parade before. She got the biggest enjoyment out of throwing candy to the wee ones.

After the parade, a buch of us from our local VW group went for a dinner at a local resturant Mayberry's themed like the Andy Griffith Show.

After that, we cruised through a massive cemetery where each Christmas Volunteers set and light candle bags. Very serene and touching.

So far, the Ninja Duck that monomanx stuck on my CB antenna in Gunnison CO is still holding tight.

If I am lucky, I may get another day or two to drive the buggy before the year is out. Looking forward to a buggy filled 2015 now that "MY" buggy is done.

Merry Christmas Everyone!

Now THAT was funny....the "cheerleading" audio was the best part.

Its not too late...that next build of yours could be a dual sport that would snort derisively at a few measley inches of snow!.....just saying....

I admire the cold weather buggy rides, great to see and it helps me realize how good I have it in (relatively) sunny California. We are in between major winter storms (read: it will rain for a day or two), but today the sun was out so I took the buggy for a spin while out doing some chores. I aways seem to take the long and scenic way...

If (big IF) it snows, I will take my buggy out for a spin (pun intended) on my property but I've pulled the insurance on it for the winter months, so no road trips. Like many have said, time to work on it...

In the mean time I look at pictures like the one below to remind me of warmer and greener times....and I hope our friends in central and southern latitudes will keep us folks in the north entertained with pictures and stories from those warmer climates.
