Yes, the 28s and 30s are the same size.

The 34PICT-3 is larger.

I was wondering this myself just before...

How come I see rebuild kits with manifold gaskets that are advertized to fit 28-34 pict's? I'm guessing 28 and 30's have the same manifold footprint, but anything above wont fit at all?

I was going to buy some single port dual manifolds made for 28pci's and buy some of those WW 32pbic's from the okrasa kit for them instead..... I'm guessing I cant do that then right? Mad

They put two gaskets in the kit, one for each size.

the studs on the PBIC's are something like 6mm further apart than the 28PCI.

hmm, 6mm kinda seems like you could widen a few holes and get it to fit though without too much heartache though right?

Sorry to hijack the thread, but what is the difference between pci's and pict's? Could I assume that a 28pict-1 or -2 to be essentially the same as a 28 pci, except with an automatic choke?

Cheers

You can, the manifold in my '55 had slotted holes when I got it - it had a later/wider carb. I was skeptical it sealed very well though. It was running super rich.

I have not replaced the manifold but I did install a 28PCI.
It runs a lot better now.

i figured i had better check my info.

a 28PCI 53mm cl to cl

a 32 PCI 58mm

a french made F32PBICA is 60 mm. sorry no idea on the german ones or the repro's.

another difference is a PICT has a fixed venturi where the PCI and PBIC's have removable ones.

Thanks for all the important input!

Thats kinda thrown a spanner in the works for me. I'm guessing removable ventris are an important part of tuning carbs to certain non factory dual setups right? I wish pci's weren't so damn expensive, paying $600+ on 2 rebuilt 28's kinda makes me feel like I should just buy a 1776 with IDA's and call it a day! Very Happy
