December is a crazy month in our family, and Christmas is only part of it. Both my spouse and my birthday, our wedding anniversary, and all the other holidays that other people celebrate!
For our anniversary my lovely wife got the van a set of TerraPodz! |
WOW talk about a busy month! It would be nice to get it all done. Terra podz are on my list too! |

I picked up a S.A. long range fuel tank from Van-Cafe. If they have them for a while, I'll get one for the work van, too.

Mango has enjoyed Christmas all year. She got a mild mechanical resto, and then a doors-off color change paint job. New tires. New winter tires. Big Hellas. Stereo. Alignment. Steering rack. Carpet. She's had a good year.
Yesterday I picked up some super bright bulbs from the Honda store that Daniel Stern recommended for the Van's rear lighting. Blinkers, brakes, running - all covered. So that will officially be her Christmas present!! Plus spending the Christmas season in the garage - she kicked the Quattro out for the time being until I get a cover strategy worked out. _________________ 1987 2WD Wolfsburg Vanagon Weekender "Mango", two fully locked 80 Series LandCruisers. 2017 Subaru Outback boxer. 1990 Audi 90 Quattro 20V with rear locking differential, 1990 burgundy parts Vanagon. 1984 Porsche 944, 1988 Toyota Supra 5 speed targa, 2002 BMW 325iX, 1982 Toyota Sunrader |

Jael is going to the beach in Calif the day after Christmas for a week of camping and sunny relaxation. We might stop by GW if we head for Jalama Beach, Solvang, and Morro Bay. It is great traveling in a Syncro Westfalia, you just go where you want, stop when you want.
North or South we have not yet decided where we are going, but the Syncro is fueled and ready to point west from Utah.
And we are looking forward to seeing this beside us most of the trip!

All new front brakes and wheel bearings, a new pressure tank and I installed two more of my coolant lines, this time the ones to and from the radiator, up front. _________________ '91 Vanagon Carat

replaced the throttle body, re-timed, installed the BA6 and engine heat.
Found out the blower/pod isn't working right
Last month replaced all my breather lines on the tank(everything forward of the tank) no more gas burps. So happy _________________ 1982 Westy-Air Cooled, Fuel Injected, 4 Speed Manual

I've been getting 3-4 boxes a day in van parts/supplies. The UPS guy thinks we're having a generous xmas.
