so, I have received a few odd emails from someone I have no clue who they are its from "CO Farms" [email protected] and it usually has a ton of vw photo's of cars for sale.

the last one I got was for a early bay and a mid 60's bug. today it's for a 62 bug.

the text states:

Quote:
Hi
i got your email from a Volkswagen Form, well i have a 1962 Volkswagen Beetle Sedan for sale

Just checking if you have a possible interest or a customer looking for one.

Pictures attached and asking $6000

Thank you

when I emailed them back on the bus, there were a few exchanges, but I never got anywhere with finding out who/where they were located.

I can forward the email to the admin here if you would like. again, I have no clue who this person is, but this time they stated that they got my email from a vw forum. this is pretty much where I hang out (aren't you lucky? Laughing )

anyone else get anything like this?

This Bus is the most common vehicle being sent to people:

Thanks for posting.

2 people emailed me today to say they got these messages.

I have seen others in the past from different email addresses.

These are scammers who have saved your email from previous scam ads placed here or elsewhere that you emailed on.
Now they are trying to contact you directly.

So Yes, SCAM.

I have blocked that email from emailing users through the site but of course that does nothing to prevent them from contacting you directly.
If you see other similar emails, please let me know and I will block any other email addresses too.

This 1962 Bug, the actual ad:
http://www.oldbug.com/barberena.htm

General tip:
You can use Google image search to search for images that people send you via email.

https://www.google.com/imghp
Click on the little camera on that page next to the search box and you can upload or link to photos.

That'll be great when they send the same email to Randy! I've seen him post about this on Facebook in the past.

I had another from a few weeks ago, they said they were in Reno Nv.:

1971 VW Westfalia Bus- $8000

This 1971 Volkswagen Westfalia is in very good condition overall It appears to have all of its original accessories and window screens and the Westfalia top is in excellent condition The car literally drives like new, and I would not hesitate to drive it long distance as it stands today. The manual transmission shifts smooth and the vehicle tracks down the road straight as an arrow.

1965 Volkswagen Beetle -$4500

This 1965 comes with Original Factory Roof Rack and the Engine is 1600 Dual Port Engine, No accidents, no rust, and seems to just keep going. The under body splash shields (foot pans) have not been replaced as so many people do,these day It runs great,

Thanks
Ralph & Alicia .O.M
It seemed Scam-ish, I'm thounsands of miles from Reno........ Rolling Eyes

mailto:[mailto:[email protected]]
It was titled VW Love Rolling Eyes

Thank you, I blocked that email.

A user with that email was banned yesterday for posting the same Bus here for sale as a scam ad:
