I have a nice condition German Sigla windshield that was pulled out of a 66 sedan that had been sitting for a number of years.

There is a brownish tinting near the top of the glass. I haven't heard of any windshields coming from the factory with tint, but along with the Sigla name on the stamping there is the word "INFRA." Not sure if that means anything. Could this have been a dealer option? Something applied later? Maybe it's just sunburn from sitting outside?

Here's some pictures

I know there are helpful folks who will show here soon, but I think the AS-1 has something to do with the visor band as well. 20+ years ago, that mark designated the 'furthest' down a windshield that tinting could go. My money is on that windshield being simply a Cigla aftermarket glass from the 70s.

AS-1 means the glass is laminated. Look at your side windows. They're marked AS-2, tempered.

Thanks ^^^. I recall in the old tinting days that tint could not fade or cut below the "AS-1--" mark that appears about 4" down on every modern car I've seen. At least that mark goes back a while too. AS-1 is like O- blood, it is suitable in any car application.
