Hello
Has anybody put the Flat4 Okrasa style muffler for 30 hp engines to the test, as to how much power they will support ?
I am asking because I have a customer that would like to use one of these on his 1644 cc Okrasa style engine, but I fear that it will not support the power. - we are in the 90 hp range.

If no, are there alternatives readily available in the same style, or do I have to get "creative" myself ?

Thanks
Ohh, and Happy New Year to you all.

Torben

If it is the Abarth-style exhaust you are thinking about, I have heard of better solutions. Think a Sebring (from Speedwell) is my favorite, I know people who has taken off the Abarth due to noise and no better performance. In one thread, the engine went better with an original exhaust and TDE-endrohre. I use TDE's on my exhaust, and the engine got power a couple of hundreds rews higher. Else it is a Standard 36hp, got up to 120 kmh on my GPS 😊

Alright Kjell
I had a hunch that it was mainly for looks. I am most likely going to be creative myself Rolling Eyes Very Happy

I did use the first generation Flat4 Abarth on a mild 1776cc (90 hp range). It totally killed the engine performance wise and it was too noisy. I did a photoshoot for a VW magazine and then swapped back to a 1 3/8" header and a QP muffler. Not as stylish though...
