Anybody got an idea of what a complete 1952 Hazet Tourist, all tools original, for VW is worth. Condition is used/good. This link shows the exact model.

eBay prices from $650. to $1000. ... Condition is the determining factor.

That model is specific to Porsche cars. Hence the 27mm spanner for front drum removal. _________________ 1947 Typ 11a

Pictured is a 1955 kit like the license plate says despite the Split window Beetle which Hazet kept on using in their literature for ages. The kit is not the typical VW Hazet Tourist 500E, this is Porsche version. It does have the 7X8 and 10X12 open end wrenches which came for the 1953 Beetles (or Zwitter). The Split does not have any 12 mm hardware and in the 1952 kit the wrenches are 7X9 and 10mm open end/box wrench but no 12 mm.
Pricewise, nice 1953 and up Beetle Hazet 500E sell for about $800-900 on ebay. A real 1952 kit would be much more expensive however, the early version with a full back circle was only used for one year when it came out in 1952 and is very rare today. Also many 1952 tools are a bit different from the later versions and if missing, very difficult to find. The 1955 Porsche version might be slightly more expensive than the regular Oval Beetle version like Porsche items tend to be? |
