|
|
Hi Guys,
Just finished adding third captive nut and stay to oval donor hood.
I have the triangle plate from Mika but am unsure on position to fit;
1. Should I align to top two slotted holes (when I do this I have a gap to reinforcement panel)
2. Should I butt against reinforcement panel and re-instate all 4 slotted holes
Appreciate any advice pictures to follow...
Thanks,
R |

Nice - so can i ask;
1. Is triangle plate isometric triangle ?
2. Should it tuck under reinforce or not ?
3. Does it have radius ends on all 3 corners ?
Thanks,

By looking closely at the picture it looks like all 3 corners are rounded |

That is good to hear. I did not understand why the other guy has to get a little flat metal part sended from Finland to Australia. Everyone who restores a car should be able to make such one himself.
But.
The signs have the same size.
But the fixing tabs are differend located.
If you keep using the two slots as they are in the oval hood the enblem will sit more to the rear when you use a split one.
You should cut all three slots new in the correct poosition.

Yes, thatīs too late now.
Well, not dramatic. Just the gap between the enblem and the trim will be about half an inch wider. _________________ Master of my domain! |
