Cool... maybe add some school style text:
I will not talk back.
I will not chew gum in class.
I will not drive fast.
I will not drive fast.
I will not drive fast.

I have some cool ideas and will keep updating the thread for sure , watch this space |

Okay. Isn't that just Ford Saffron? Standard in the US. |
blimey yeah how weird is that, guess now i know, thanks |
Really, I'm just saying that in the US almost all school buses are painted "school bus yellow". Not required, but pretty standard. The guesses to Postal Yellow because it's a German vehicle does not override the fact that its a US school bus. Most likely painted here because of it's intended use. _________________ Judy

On this side of the pond there is a spray paint that IS chalkboard-in-a-can, suitable for any surface. I have used it in many spots in my garage, especially on the outside end of boxes. Then I just use, you guessed it, chalk to note the contents.
The even have White Board and magnetic paint (so magnets will stick to it. It isn't magnetic).
For what it's worth, I think your idea is brilliant! _________________ "My biggest worry is that when I die, my wife will sell all my parts for what I told her I paid for them"-Jon

cool, the bus was pretty much completely blown over in the yellow, the original colour them would have been Turkish Green and Pearl White i believe this can be seen on the front etc, but they didnt muck around looks like the glass was covered then they sprayed everything ! |

I will be the jerk to correct you...
It's Turkis (aka Turquoise) and Blue-White
Cool Bus and I'm glad you could dig up some history on it _________________ How to Post Photos

May I ask why you choose WD-40? I have a similar rust issue and can't decide how to treat my bus. Just curious why WD-40?
Bus looks awesome BTW. |

i will actually be going the ankorwax route, but wd40 is an old school cheap waterproofing option that i used for short term. |

When my bus was rescued it had school lights on the roof, these unfortunately didn't survive, ive spent 10 months searching and finally came across this, its a 1970's US Mail Roof light bar, with nice patina/rust and working red/orange lights, i will be able to operate it from the cab, magnetic so removable too !
