Try buying one from Starrett directly?
How about Sears?

Why the big rush on Starrett tape measures? They are not any more accurate that any other well made premium tape measure.

Having been in about eight plants over the years that make tape measures.....I can assure you that the Starrett is made exactly the same as one from Lufkin. ..and on the same equipment.
In fact at one point in time....Lufkin made virtually all of thr tape measures and yard sticks no matter what name they were branded with. They had about 10 different plants in a 100 mile radius around High Point North Carolina.

There is a pretty good bet they made starrett there as well. I know for a fact they made Craftsman products there too.
I would say Stanley manufactures the vast majority of flexible tapes and rules in the industry that Lufkin doew not.....mainly because I know what equipment they have.

Its just a tape measure. Ray

I don't care about the brand name of the tape measure is. Rolling Eyes I need it to be in (MM) up to 100mm. That's all. See photo.

I like my Fiskars 304mm & 12" flexible stainless steel ruler I bought my son at Office Depot when he started School twenty years ago! It is pretty much indestructible. Cool

Ray

Looks like the Stanley 3.5m x 1/2, from True Value hardware store, might be the one I'm looking for.
Thanks

100mm is only about 4 inches. You could get a 6" machinists ruler in MM & inch for about $5 or so.

Yep...I note that you are in Massachusetts. I know that in New England and the great Northeast it can be not a straight shot to any big box store and it can get to be a long day just driving around to find what you need.....so I figured I would give as many choices as I could find. Ray

Sometimes the answer is NO!
In a former job I had to go on site to inspect stuff. In each inspection I had to take hundreds of measurements. Since Canada is officially metric, all measuring was done in mm. After a while, I began to realize that a bilingual tape was really annoying to use when you NEVER use inches.
Every time I was in a hardware store here in Canada, I would look at them all. The only ones available were inch only or bilingual. Eventually I found a metric one, ironically, in the only country in the world that isn't metric! Yep, USA. It is a testament to the product line of this particular hardware store. Best one I know of.

I'm not sure, but I think the metric only tape I found was this orange one.

Here's the hardware store that has it:
http://www.hardwaresales.net/internet_division.html

I don't know if they have it listed online, but I know for a FACT they have it in stock in their store. They don't sell well, and the ones they have are quite dusty.
