I have a mechanic for my 1972 VW Beetle who has been great for literally decades. I am looking for a back up mechanic when he is on vacation and/or retired, which could be coming soon. Can anyone recommend an honest, fair and reliable shop for servicing/repair near South Pasadena, CA (91030)....would be glad to travel a reasonable distance. Thanks!

go to your bathroom and look in the mirror. there you will find the best back-up mechanic you can find.

You can PM me and I could possibly help you out. As for a shop check out a Mr Tim Caves at TC's Old V-Dub Home in Sunland, Ca. Good man who has been around for decades.
Hope this helps, Bill.
