Hello there. I'm brand new to the Samba. I purchased this '70 squareback off this site in March of last year from a guy named Mark from Huntington Beach CA. Mark builds all kinds of VW's and does a fantastic job.

Mark, if you're on here - your old car is is doing just fine Cool .

I've had the car for almost a year and so far all I've had to do to it is one oil change.

What should I do next?

If you have an owners manual, do all of the scheduled maintenance on it. If you don't have one, I'm sure Tram or Nate can come up with a list of things to do, besides oil changes. You know, things like greasing the from beam, checking the upper sway bar play, adjusting the rear brakes, things like that.

Beautiful looking car. Cool

Use VW's Diagnosis checklists for a good set of maintenance checks/adjustments:

Thanks! Yeah I drive it about 12 miles round trip to work about twice a week.

Sips gas, and looks cool doing it.

If anybody in the LA / OC California area has the opportunity to buy one of Mark's cars I highly recommend it.
