|
|
I have been messing with a turbo on this buggy for 4 years now.
I have tried blow through carb and now EFI and I have to say this has been the most successful run I have done yet.
I still have a set of 40X37.5mm heads to put on.
This is the 3rd Subaru turbo I have installed.
I have only put about 10 miles on it since installing but so far I am quite impressed.
It's putting out 20 plus lbs. boost with Water/Alcohol injection and there is no detonation.
Here are the engine specs.
1679cc
35.5X32mm stock heads
Engle W-100 cam
Solid Rockers
Single HD springs
Megasquirt 2 EFI and crankfired ignition
This one is a Subaru TD04L-13T turbo from a 2002 WRX.
Here is a short video of it going through the gears.
Edit...embedded the youtube video. Had to take a class on how to do it....

I have another video of an Iphone dyno run on my build at STF that gives the hp results and 1/4 mile. _________________

Take a good long look in the mirror and report back on what you see. |

Nice. Now you need a speedometer that "goes to 11"..... |
