A recent ad yesterday popped up that sounds and looks too good to be true.
"1960 vw bus - $8000
needs full restoration complete inside and out I have the title please leave your number" The ad yesterday had a picture of a samba with the rear end clearly of a earlier bus, 56 or so.

Today the picture is gone (ad is still up) and another ad was posted stating the original ad is a fake.

The seller then sent me a text today claiming:
"I'm showing the VW bus today at 5 p.m. I have 6 people saying they wanted so first come first serve. [address omitted] Valley Center. CA [zip omitted]"
and a text that it was a 60 and there was a title.
The seller sent me this picture that differed from the CL picture.
When I asked multiple times for a picture of the m code plate, I got no response. Too fishy for me to drive to Valley Center with a trailer and a bunch of cash.  |

Above is a modification of this samba image. I have seen it used before in Nor Cal craigslist about 5 years ago. They gave a GPS location to meet in a very rural area. I figured they were messing with flippers.
