When they speak of the high hinge model of a double cab, what are they talking about?

Notice the location of the third door upper hinges. Earlier buses had a higher upper hinge than later buses. I believe the change from high to low took place around December '60 for buses...I'm not sure if the change date was the same for DC's.

High (Bus is a '59)
