i know no filler is the best filler,but i not that good. what are most of you using for filler on the gates? thanks

Filler primer with lots of sanding.

What part of the gates, and how much imperfection are you trying to work out? Just trying to get the flat areas as flat as can be? Trying to smooth out welded seams?

...can't imagine even filling the gates with bondo...LOL, I do use bondo and like the stuff, but it's a truck and imperfections are natural. My gates are bowed out a bit and there are nicks and dings from working it...don't want a pretty little truck though.
...have an extra set of gates in case, I bought maybe 15 years ago...still have not used them Smile

USC brand Duraglas is what I used. It's fiberglass reinforced so it's waterproof and high strength. Since the gates rattle and flex, it's a lot better than cheapo chalk-like body filler.
