This was a really fun show, great cars, better people and it was a really well organized event. This was the first VW meet that I took my dune buggy to, and I was stoked to see a few buggy brethren there as well. The 5 a.m. drive over the mountains on Hwy 17 was a little chilly, but the day warmed up eventually. Here's a few buggy shots:
My '72 Manx clone
Jeff's wild "Martini Buggy"
Tom's beautiful Kickout Manx

Dont everyone yell at once but I think its time to go back to pre-67.
The show was great but packed like a mall parking lot.
-having to move a bus 2 times so others could literally CRAM in was not fun.
-parking a 57 orginal paint vert next to a scalloped 71 vert is strange at a vintage based show (club). _________________ WWW.WESTCOASTBULLIES.COM

I like the show the way it is. It's all inclusive, and that's how vdub people are in my eyes. I just love the buzz in the air from all the smiling faces.
I'm sure organizing this show is a tremendous amount of work. So, kudos and a heart felt thanks to the organizers.
If you really want a pre-67 only show, start one. I'm sure all of us with pre-67 cars would also go to your event. Hey, the more shows the better! |

Wow! What a great show again guys and gals.
Thanks again for the hospitality from check in to the last wave goodbye. I appreciate you holding the sun back just long enough to get many great photos. This year was my first where I didn't have an insane swap shopping list- so it was great to actually TALK with people. Thanks to a helluva nice guy, Abe, from whom I bought a beautiful hand built spice rack! Thank you again Mark, Drew, Adam, Dave, Miguel, Gabe of course- Bethany/Jason!- nice to see you and many others again- and yes, next year is already on the schedule for these Idaho cats.
Sincerely, Bradford _________________

Had a great time seeing a bunch of northerly folks I know, mostly from Treffen cruises, including Jim and Nicki all the way from Idaho! Really cool show. I put some pictures up on our blog. --Andre T.

I echo this! I get to see Jim regularly, so having a great dinner with them both Sat. night was a wonderful bonus. _________________

Just found this thread.
Noted this CB with Washington plates on it.
If anyone knows, I'd appreciate some updated info about this vehicle
Looks to me to be Erich and Wendy Kircher's KO 519 which they imported from OZ several years ago before Erich's untimely death.
I'm a member of the CB forum at AVD and our long time CB guru Bill Moore died in March of 2014. Lots of us are trying to keep his info on the CB Register as current as possible, but it is a battle because no one had the pulse of the CB community and network of CB owners that Bill had. He was the center of that universe. So, as time goes on, its easy to lose track of owners and cars. The CB in the 2015 Kelley Park pics is a ringer for another I have knowledge of.
Can anyone tell me the KO number of this CB? I believe this CB to be KO 519.
Can anyone confirm that Wendy Kircher still owns this CB, or has it passed to another owner, and if so who? Another possibility might be Randy Carlson' Oldbug CB restoration in which case would be KO 273. Last known owner of that CB was Jessie Olsen of Chico, CA.
Any help would be greatly appreciated by the CB community. There are only 11 CBs in North America, so we like to keep track of them as best as possible.
The two cited KO numbered vehicles shown below.
KO 519: (Kelley Park, 2007)
KO 273: (Randy Carlson, Oldbug restoration)

I think I have a clue about KO 519 after spending the afternoon researching.
Here's Wendy Kircher doing her clean down number on the engine of KO 519.
The next question becomes: Who is the owner and what is their contact info???
Anyone anywhere, especially the Left Coast have any info or even a little clue? _________________ "Here we don't have a single clock in the shop- time doesn't matter." ----Jake Raby

As far as I know, Wendy still owns the Country Buggy and lives in Washington.
I don't have contact info.
