Piedmont Dragway near Greensboro/Burlington NC
All VW Car Show, Drag Racing and Swap meet. 3 Bracket classes plus The ASA Heads up street class.
Gates open at 10am
Admission $15 (12 & under Free)
Used Parts $35 (includes one gate admission)
Show car entry $10 (doesn't include admission)
Non-Judged VW only parking

Attention those of you that would like to show your VW. We will have Top 25 with these Special Awards.
Best of Show. Most Original, Best Workmanship, Best use of color, Best Accessories, Inner Beauty, Promoters Choice
You can register online at the link below and pay day of show. It is a $10 extra fee to show your car, but you will also be eligible for special prizes just for show car participants.

No worries, if you don't want to show your car, there will be special VW only parking inside the gate.
All VWs of any model are welcome to be in the event. Air and watercooled alike, along with VW based Kit cars, Audis and Porsche.

Right now looking at Accuweather for Sunday, it shows Cloudy with a couple of Thunderstorms.
Still days away, so things can change.

This is the announcement everyone has been waiting on. We got a call today from the track about the weather for Sunday. They were asking that we cancel since the weather for Sunday is calling for 100%. So in the best interest for us all, we have cancelled it.
There may be a reschedule day for it later in the year, but first we have to get some dates from the track to see if we can make that happen. We don't want it too soon, because we all have our plans for us this Springtime and beginning of Summer.
Will keep you guys informed of a reschedule date. Please share this with all your friends. We really don't want to do it, but mother nature is just set in with all the rain in the south this week.
We hope to see all of you guys at Farmington on May 17th. As many of you know from the past, that show will not cancel even if it is raining some. We have done it in the past.
If you have any questions, just let us know.

We have received dates for a rescheduling for the event. The best date will be Labor Day weekend, (since Bugout will not occur that weekend in VA) September 5th, which is a Saturday. So mark your calenders and spread the word!

It looks like I might be in Myrtle Beach on Sept. 5th. Is there a good highway to the track for those of us who are tourists? Looks like about a three or four hour drive. Any tips regarding the best route would be appreciated:)

We are planning to have a Fundraiser for the Rotondi's at our upcoming event with all proceeds going to them. If you have anything that you would like to donate for this event, please send us a PM.

For those of you unfamiliar with what has been going on, here is another post that was made. Update on our friends Mike and Tonya Rotondi. This message was posted up from their good friend Tonya Wilson.
" just wanted to give an update on our friends. Tonya has now taken on the challenge of bringing Mike home and taking care of him herself. Mike is breathing on his own, eating from a tube and has response, but is greatly limited. She's not been able to work much the past few weeks due to this transition and getting everything taken care of to prepare the home for him. I've been selling little Pebbles charms and accepting donations for them and now have collected $307 for them. with all that she's been handling, we've not been able to link up yet. Just wanna put it out there that they still need all the love, support and prayers we can give them. also, the opportunity to help them is still here... $3 for a piggy charm - all proceeds going to Mike and Tonya. thanks for your consideration... ♡"
For those of you that don't know, Mike had a brain anyerism back in May and has been in the Hospital in a coma since then. They are VW Enthusiasts and come to most all of the Southeast events selling Toys, shirts and lots of other misc VW goodies.

Fundrasier for the Rotondi Family
We will be having a special raffle with all the proceeds going to Mike and Tonya Rotondi. If you don't know these folks, they are at every VW show they can be at, selling VW Toys, shirts and much more. Back in May, Mike had to be rushed to an Atlanta hospital from a VW Event in Helen, Ga. At that event, he had an aneurysm burst on him, airlifted him and at the hospital they found out that he had a brain tumor the size of an Apple. Which until this point, they didn't know about. He had surgery to remove it, but had to place him in an induced coma for sometime. The Aneurysm, caused a lot of Brain damage and had to stay in the coma for months to help heal. Just recently, he came out of this coma, breathing on his own, eating from a tube and has response, but still needing a lot of help. He is at home now, but it is hard on Tonya to be able to provide for them, like they used to. We want to be able to help provide them with something to help them get by in this time of need.
Saturday, Sept 5th at Piedmont Dragway during our Big Bug Shootout, we will be holding a special raffle in their honor. We will have several items
up for the raffle. But our main prize will be a Bus ride on Child's toy that just starting appearing in Walmarts. We also will have several other
prizes from various vendors and donors. If you have something that you would like to donate towards the raffle, please contact us.
Tickets will be $5 each, you can purchase them day of show as well as online through Paypal(if you aren't able to attend). Our paypal address

Time of giveaway will be 4pm.
