No 67 is not the same as a 70.Seat back shape changed in 68 when they went to the high-back seats.The frame itself is the same with the upper v or u shape welded on for the headrest .Very easy to cut down if your going for lowbacks |

He's asking about rear seats (back seat), not seat back !!!
I think the rear seat is the same - but wait for someone else to post.
Of course Convertible rear seats are different than sedans. _________________ 1970 VW (owned since 1972) and 1971 VW Convertible (owned since 1976), second owner of each. The '71 now has the 1835 engine, swapped from the '70. Second owner of each. 1988 Mazda B2200 truck, 1998 Frontier, 2014 Yukon, 2004 Frontier King Cab. Will a 70 back seat fit in a 67? Yes. Is it exactly the same? No. If I remember correctly my 67 back seat had some sort of latch to hold in place that my 70's seat didn't have. _________________ 67 Beetle Build Thread
