In the brake booster vaccuum line, there are segments that come together so the line slips over the other. Its the male end of the hose that has the short rubber over it to make the seal. I don't know where to source it and am probably calling it the wrong thing. Anybody have a link or lead? Thank you _________________ 84 Wolfsburg Edition Westy

I don't see it clearly labeled. The one I specifically need goes over the outlet on the back of the Brake Booster. The hard plastic hose goes over the rubber sleeve that is on the break booster nipple. Part 76 would fit over the rubber sleeve. There are probably 3 other rubber sleeves in the brake booster lines where two hoses come together. This secures the seal between the two lines and the tan plastic clamp with the screw in it clamps over where the two hoses connect male to female.
Actually, I think its part 63. _________________ 84 Wolfsburg Edition Westy |

I know the piece you are speaking of. It is a thin rubber bushing that fits over the plastic hose. Never bought one, but I would guess that a phone call to BusBoys or Bus Depot would get you one pretty quick. |

http://www.germansupply.com/xcart/customer/product.php?productid=17051&cat=&page=1
"Rubber grommet for power brake servo (booster) hard plastic hose. This grommet goes around both ends of the brake servo check valve, also in the hard plastic hoses where they attach to the metal pipe in the chassis or the brake servo itself. The check valve is located in the engine bay or on early models, just in front of the firewall. Depending on the year of your bus there are up to 5 of these used." |

Go to Germansupplys website. There are are a 2 different rubber bushings that are used in this application. They look very close to be the same part but are actually different. I have a 78 as well. Original German is still available. I would advise against buying re-popped. Hope this helps. |
