I'm looking for any clever regulator locations that may be floating around out there. I have a 36hp with a Judson, and I'm currently running the regulator at about 2 o'clock on the fan shroud. I'm about to add a Fram oil filter and Okrasa style cooler. That top right corner is going to get a little crowded...

Any ideas?

Thanks,
Robo.

What's wrong with sitting on the generator in the stock position?

OK, I thought that was possible, but wasn't sure. My current regulator is a funny shape. Wasn't sure if the original shape works on my 12v generator. Are all the generator posts the same? I think its an old audi model, will this: http://www.thesamba.com/vw/classifieds/detail.php?id=1683790 just bolt down on my generator?

Thanks
Robo

I always mounted my regulators on the back side of my fan shrouds using rivnuts at the top of the shroud in the middle.
