Hey guys,
I'm looking to replace my 63 with one that's more complete.
This one came up on CL
http://inlandempire.craigslist.org/cto/4837032346.html
The Title lists the Veh ID as 115829221
Doesn't that mean it's a 65?
Or is that not the VIN?
The title also says it's a 63.
strange.
LMK your thoughts
and please, don't buy this out from under me LOL _________________ My Photobucket for my Herbie Project - http://s1288.photobucket.com/user/TK-439/library/Herbie?sort=3&page=1

That would explain the blue tag in the trunk. A pan swap is not a big deal when you're driving it around enjoying the benefit of that ragtop! _________________ Jesucristo es mi Seņor y Salvador! |

The body is 63. Easy way to tell is the window divider bar between the door window and vent window. in 65 that divider bar leaned back at the top (and the windows all got bigger)
But you really need to have a look inside to tell for sure on the pan. Up through 64 the heater control was a single knob on the tunnel near the shifter. In 65 they did away with that and the heater controls were then two levers along the side of the parking brake. _________________ Mother Nature is a Mean Evil Bitch! |

I thought so too, but the title would say 65 then, right?
My current 63 rag is on a 59 pan, so I don't care that much about that kind of stuff.
Thanks for the input _________________ My Photobucket for my Herbie Project - http://s1288.photobucket.com/user/TK-439/library/Herbie?sort=3&page=1

The year can depend on how diligent the state it was first registered in (after the pan swap ) was. _________________ .ssS! |
