I didn't want to reveal the answer in the title.
So this is what I'm building now.
Can you say year/color/model from these 2 pics.
Only the nerdiest will know.
And Chris Patterson, Kris Eagle, and Jacin Ferreira cannot answer. U already know and that's cheating.
Next question has anyone ever seen another. _________________ Joe -----------

So I started this one a while ago. Finished almost everything back then. So everything is powder coated or painted except the body. Sold the car and then just got it back March 1. My goal drive to Kelley Park. I know this is insane and the last Notch fought all the way till the end, but going to try to redeem myself this year.
I know door panels not correct, but where am I finding brown chord N panels! _________________ Joe -----------

I have a 64 sea blue N model that is under the knife right now. I don't know all its history or if it has all the N model stuff. Are the door panels supposed to be two pieces like that? mine were redone before I got it.
Believe it or not I went to the body shop that has my car the other day to pic up my westy and meant to take pics of the body and pan all disassembled and totally forgot! I have random pics of rust and fenders! _________________ Without love in the dream it will never come true |

No, the N models had single piece door panels and armrests that look like a Beetle armrest. The dash the OP has is for a '67-70 car also- the speaker grille shouldn't have the divider on an N. _________________ Немає виправдання для війни! Я з Україною.

My dash broke in half when they took it out so i need a new one. Guess i will go with one of the repops as that seems like the best option. I do have the little arm rests. Trying to figure out what to do for interior. I will start a thread on it soon... As soon as i am authorized to post pics! _________________ Without love in the dream it will never come true |

People think a wrap dash is hard to find? Try to find a correct N model dash that's not torn up!
I'm pretty sure the N model arm rests are Type 1 part numbers. |

Wouldnt it be the same as a '66 dash - but minus the chrome trim? And realistically, a 67-70 and drill the holes in the middle? I'm thinking about putting my 67-70 style dash in the classifieds, not sure if it has the trim holes for the chrome _________________ Stop dead photo links! Post your photos to The Samba Gallery! |

This isn't going to be exactly correct. I don't have the OG panels nor the correct pad. But I do have OG parts so that's as good as it gets. I want to believe and someone prove me wrong but this may be the only nutria N model left.
Like I said, I've seen a handful of N's and almost all were white. So all the other colors at least have a shot at greeting correct panels. This one I'm going with impossible. _________________ Joe -----------

It looked like it was about to break just sitting there... If it came out in one piece i am sure that it would have collapsed when it was set down. It's not like it was a nice dash... Just a typical 50 year old dash. _________________ Without love in the dream it will never come true |

I'm not familiar with what's special about the Nutria? _________________ Without love in the dream it will never come true |

Color is not common on any type 3's. Also it is basically a 64 only color. _________________ Joe -----------

Use Shoe-Goo and put it back together. Even cracked dashes are better than repops. _________________ '65 1500 S [quareback]

Without checking my book - They should be - they look exactly like Bug arm rests.
