Hey, I have two rear seat backs from 56 beetles and they both don't have the tabs to hold the seat covers on the sides. Only where the cardboard is, the rusty seat is the OG seat from the 56 Canadian custom.
Do I have to sew the seat covers together on the sides?

Also I've seen different looking rear back seat frames for late ovals. Is their a rhyme or reason to them? is it a 56/57 thing?

Well I decided to make some tabs and rivet them on. Then the cover went on like any other seat.
