You can drive without rear lamps in California, at least in the daytime. They probably don't teach hand signals anymore in driver ed, but they are still in the vehicle code:
Quote: |
All required signals given by hand and arm shall be given
from the left side of a vehicle in the following manner:
(a) Left turn--hand and arm extended horizontally beyond the side
of the vehicle.
(b) Right turn--hand and arm extended upward beyond the side of
the vehicle, except that a bicyclist may extend the right hand and
arm horizontally to the right side of the bicycle.
(c) Stop or sudden decrease of speed signal--hand and arm extended
downward beyond the side of the vehicle. |

I suppose one could . Now that would really depend if other drivers understood them . I do they are old school and simple. |

Drove down to ISP today and got the fender. I was worried about the drive but it was not bad at all. It took a little over two hours to get there figure out how to get the fender in my car without poking a hole in the headliner . I was going to tie it to the two bar add on luggage rack but thought since it was windy and at times you could hit 60MPH on the freeway that may not be a great idea.
The fender looks like new no dents or rust looked at both sides and no Bondo or filler .
My side molding seems pretty good yet after getting in and out over a dozen times or more I get out in my garage felt something catch my pants and it was the molding that I put a 45 degree bend in it all by myself . I think since it's soft aluminum I can get it back in shape. I know somewhere in my garage I have another one but where is the question. Some day when I can afford it I will get the new SS set from ISP . As long as this one comes out close it matches the others that were new once but every one has door dings and a few flat spots in them.
ISP has a ton of stuff not listed on their web site. I only saw the show room part it had all sorts of small parts and steering wheels and lamps switches . |

Talk to a paintless dent removal guy. That's not that bad. Might not be the best or perfect, but at least it look halfway decent until you're ready to go all the way. |
Today I did the best I could to pull the L rear fender out I just used a toilet plunger. I remover the molding and tried in a few spots . at least it's not pushed in but I can see the metal is stretched . it's a bit concave just behind the door and before the wheel well . it will do until I am ready to get the new used one ready .
Here's 2 photo's for an idea .
