Hi,
at a swapmeet a few weeks ago i purchased a set of aluminum valvecovers engraved with "JC PERF".
does anyone know the origins of these parts.
They seem to be for a 25/30hp engine, because the rockershaft studs don't line up with the mounting holes in the covers. The holes are drilled 3-4mm higher than the studs in a late model head.

First thing that comes to mind is JC Whitney. Looked at some of the old catlog scans I made (which I contributed to theSamba Gallery) Maybe the ones at the top of this page?, despite the drawing doesn't quite match. This was from 1969 - could be other years they sold a different part as well.
