|
|
I'm trying to find a list of shows in the Seattle area this summer. My goal is to have our bug done by late spring, and I want to bring it up from Portland to Seattle so I can go to a show with my father in law (who bought this bug new in 1967). So far I only see 2 shows on the Samba Event Listing:
- PNW Springmeet (I don't expect to have the car ready)
- 3rd Annual Car Show, which does't look like it's a vw specific show
There must be more shows than that. It would be fun to be up there for a good size show, something like the Woodburn Or show. What other shows are going on this summer? _________________ 1967 Bug, 1985 BMW 635csi euro, 1998 BMW 528i, 2003 BMW 325xi wagon, 2000 Tahoe LT |

Here is what I have on my calendar for the Northwest
May 25 Cruzin to Colby; not VW specific but they have a street set aside for VW's, Always a good VW turnout
May 30 Woodburn
July 18 Vintage Meet; This is the largest VW show in the Seattle area
Aug 16 The Great Canadian VW Show; A great show and good turnout
There are other shows in the areas but these are the big ones |

There's a Spring Meet in Seattle in April and the Portland show in August, and my favorite is the Yakima show in September.
Incase you didn't know, thesamba has a shows section and you can sort this by state. Not every show is listed, the vintage meet for example, not sure why. |

Any VW club plans to invade the Greenwood Car Show, June 27th this year? Usually there is a VW section and I'd like to see one again this year. _________________

We rely on people to add them so tell the show organizers to add them, if you know their contact info.
IIRC, the Vintage Meet people always add their stuff last minute. _________________ How to Post Photos

Arlington car show is June 13th. I'm planning on going, rarely have I seen ACVWs at that show. Its a great venue, the whole town is turned into a car show. |

Is the date for the Seattle Vintage meet a sure bet? I want to start setting up my reservations for Vacation time and this show would be a cool side trip. Any idea where it takes place? |

This is a fun show too, though not VW specific.

The Greenwood Car Show in Seattle is June 27th and the registration forms need to be turned in by June 20th. If any area VW club is planning to make a presence I would love to know. It would be nice if somehow we could get a row of VWs going. That isn't real easy to do without an organized early entry, as the show is 23 city blocks long. I will be there. _________________

I just found this link the other night, Should be able to answer most of your questions http://vwnationals.com/
Seems promotion is a bit weak for this event, But also seems a lot of people do know about it so hopefully it will be a success ! |
