There apparently were 2 projects. #1 was in 1952 when Studebaker commissioned Porsche to design a V-6 engined car for them. The project ultimately stalled, especially a couple years later when one John DeLorean put a stake in it. #2, which is what appears to be here, was an attempt in 1959 by Curtiss to put a 1953 Porsche engine in the rear of a normally front engined Lark. Again, the project stalled (probably because Studebaker was about done anyway). Too bad neither of these projects took hold--picture a Lark with a 911 engine in it. |

It's a Riley Elf, it is a mini with a trunk & different nose/grille. The front is kinda Edsel-ish |

Ah yes, I see the "B" on the wheels now. I guess I was confused by the hood ornament. It didn't look like the Bently I posted earlier in this thread. Thanks for the correction. _________________ Prosit!

Hmm...I've never thought of dinosaurs like that as "out of the ordinary", but it is indeed not something you see every day anymore so I'll play. Saw one just like this yesterday, really clean as well:
There seems to be too many stockbrokers, drug dealers or children of super rich Asians living around here because the Tbird was a far less common sight than any of those Bentleys, Lambo's or Maserati sedans posted above, guess I'll have to trade in the bus soon to keep up with the neighbors _________________ Rust NEVER sleeps and stock never goes out of style.
Please don't PM technical questions, ask your problem in public so everyone can play along. If you think it's too stupid post it here

^^^^ I had a '78 T-Bird ( 2 piece red tail light right across the back), same brown colour as the Continental, spoked hubcaps, with the 302. I miss that car! |
