Looks like some kind of southern redneck to me. Not that there is anything wrong with that. _________________

It's a VW underneath!
The license plate is the model name. |
I know where a real one owner Dino is that's been sitting under a cover for the last 20+ years.
And a late 50s vette that's been sitting in a back yard for the last 25 that I know of. _________________ Everybody born before 1975 has a story, good, bad, or indifferent, about a VW.

Saw a 1982? Buick Riviera convertible on Coast Hwy in Dana Point yesterday. Din't have time for a pic. Sorry. Looked a lot like this one:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vsfCEq625PA
The whole fit and finish of the top looked like a landau fake convertible, but this was the real deal, 2 door and all. I guess that they were all done on the aftermarket somehow, and boy, did it look like it. _________________ Jack Staggs

Back in the late 80's, my Army squad leader's Dad worked at GM. He said that all convertibles were built as hardtops and then sent down the street for "factory Convertible" tops.
Not sure how true that is, but that's what he told me then. _________________ My Photobucket for my Herbie Project - http://s1288.photobucket.com/user/TK-439/library/Herbie?sort=3&page=1

Ya know how kids today like to imitate the “Fast & Furious” look: Slammed, fart can exhaust, stretched tires, etc on their ricer.
Today I saw one that looked like the F&F cars, at the end of the movie; all of the above, plus dents, dings, paint scrapes all around. Even the roof was bent. _________________ Everything known to man has been written.

The beetle I'm in? I bought it for $500, it's a TDI & it gets 52MPG, I don't give a shit what people think about how I look driving it. In fact, I laugh at all the assholes trying to impress everyone with their $500+ a month car payments. You shoulda seen the white one that had pink fenders & bumpers I drove for a few months, my daughter wouldn't have anything to do with it. I took it to my buddies house to lob a few rounds & a couple of his other buddies started giving me shit about the car until I pulled the PLR-16 out & thy forgot all about the car. _________________ Everybody born before 1975 has a story, good, bad, or indifferent, about a VW.

Yeah, that B5 platform is the best that they've ever made, in my opinion. _________________ Everybody born before 1975 has a story, good, bad, or indifferent, about a VW.
