Neither of those looks like the right pulley. I'll post a picture of mine when I get home.

You might want to consider having the pins of the crankshaft pulley ride on some sort of hardened collar. I would be concerned that the intermittent start up loads when the compressor clutch closes could, over time, force the pins right through the fan blades.

Do you have technical specs for your compressor?

I would like to know the compressor's operational RPM range as well as the horsepower needed to operate the compressor.

Thanks

I was able to find the specs, they are located here:

http://www.sanden.com/objects/TRSE07_performance_curve.pdf

Thanks

Here's my pulley, which has two lugs on the back. It has a diameter of 107 mm:

And here's how the lugs engage the fan:

That was a good trade! Ron needed the late model, and he had a '66/7 unit similar to the one we put in RC's Notch that I needed for a friend's '67, so we made a long distance trade. The unit I got from Ron was really nice as well. Very Happy

I'm glad the shipping gorillas didn't damage either unit.

Hi
today we fit the pulley. we had to go to a machinict to make the spacer we close the bolt at 100 ftlb end there is a gap of no moer 1/16 so the pulley will not seat on the pulley of the generator.

Yes, looks great, i'm following this thread as I want to install A/C in my T34 ghia. Will you be able to fit the stock air cleaner base, regardless of the fresh air tube coming from the rear?

Hey ronbug,

just wondering, how and where are you running the refrigerant lines from the condenser to the compressor?

Ron: Radio mounts in the plastic bracket which is now attached under the unit rather than under the dash.

OE dealer installed radio from 1971 on in USA was this:
http://www.thesamba.com/vw/classifieds/detail.php?id=1782276

There was an AM/FM version available too, as well as a "Playtape" option.

The plastic mounting bracket is the same for all markets, though.
