Disc brakes and narrowed beam.

Does disc brakes kick the front wheels out about 2"? I think I read that somewhere. If this is true, is it 2" on each side or 1" on each side? Trying to figure out how narrow to order my beam. Thanks

Depends on the set-up but it's much less than that, more like 1/4-1/2" each side.
