Yesterday I came across what appeared to be 73 thing for sale in Foley Alabama so I stopped and took a look. VIN starts 184 and it has fresh air heat but the 73 style air intakes look original and not a hack job. It has the small taillights on the vertical panel of the rear clip instead of the bug style and this appears to be original too. Owner claims that its from Germany but the vin plate says "Hecho en Mexico". Body seems pretty solid but I can see evidence of body filler on the passenger rocker. Pans appear solid and original, aside from the patched panel under the battery. It fired right up and ran great but I didn't drive it due to the insanity that is HWY 59 during spring break.
It's worth taking a look if anyone is in the area.
He's asking $8500 _________________ JohnD
