I have a 63 bug with a 66 adjustable ball joint beam. I just installed disc brakes with 2 1/2" drop spindles and now the fenders are setting on the tires. I have the beam raised all the way up. Help!

Both the disc brakes and the dropped spindles increased your track. You'll likely need a narrowed beam to offset that and bring your wheels back in your fenders a bit.

I had the same issue with mine. I have drum brakes with 2in narrow beam and drop spindles. I am right now removing the drip spindles.

What method did you use to attach the ball joint beam to the car?

I have CB 2.5 drop spindles with discs (5 x 205). I had to narrow my beam 4.5" to get the track width where I want it. I also had to make custom shock towers which barely clear the body of my 62 bug.

Something is wrong with your statement, balljoint beams don't bolt to linkpin pans and visa-versa.

^ yep....

Pan swap most likely...

Most likely someone wanted a slammed beam and installed the adjusters bias towards the lowered side.. (bad choice)..

Change 1 thing it effects 10....

Since you now have invested in drop disc spindles... you have two choices now...
Either correct the beam or buy one with neutral lowering and SLIGHT narrowing so you can tune it.

Sorry for the blunt facts...

You never answered the question of how the ball joint beam was attached to this car!

The answer may help solve your problem.

Your beam looks like this with the stepped lower tube? If yes, that will not bolt to a 63 pan. 63 should have a Link Pin.

This piece shows the different spacing between BJ and LP beam. The BJ beam tubes are spaced further and will not bolt up to a 63 pan.
