according to my daughter, my Four year old Grandson wants a covered sand box for his birthday...... ?? Yeah...... I'm sure he asked for one! Rolling Eyes

Anyway, one covered sandbox.

Cover folds back to form a seat on each side........
I know, I could have probably purchased one for what I spent on Cedar...... But it was fun making it! .........

That is a right handsome project. Well done.

After I built a sandbox for our first born I pulled out the few Matchbox cars I had left a and we had a blast. It became a relatively cheap hobby for the two of us, hunting 'daily drivers' in junk stores.

Kinda what I was thinking, poor kitty's out of luck now, nothing ruins a good day of hunting like having to go inside for a crap Razz

I would put some blocks on the sides as stops for the back of the "seats" so the hinges last longer. Or like a full around molding to do the same thing.

But that's just me. Looks rad man.

Looks good.

When the kids are done you can use as above ground gardening or drop it over the top of a hot tub. Smile

Looks similar to the one I saw on the Weather channel a few years ago. I believe theirs was a Home Depot kit.

Great job Dave. My son loved his sandbox when he was that age. I'm sure it will get lots of use. Now get in there and play with them.
