If Andrews suggestion of more glow plug time, it looks simple enough to add some time as well as carry it into more temp.
Starting at 10C set to 4.00
20C set to 3.00
30C set to 2.00
40C set to 1.50
50C set to 0
You could also take a swing at the Glow Plug on time the same way. You may find adding a little time on both works.
We have found in tuning gas engines, that sometimes taking big swings helps you get a feel for what you are adjusting. Once you develop that feel you can fine tune your swings.

Wonder if there are different pre start and post start voltages for the glow plugs? Maybe the system supplies 12V until you start the engine and then 7.5V afterwards. This would give about 3 times the Wattage pre start then post start. |
From what specialist-component told me is that they provide one low amp wire for the high amp relay and this suppose to be also used for the dashboard "glow" lamp.
Adjustable voltage seems to be not an option on this ECU/injector package. |

Time to find that relay. As I mentioned earlier, running the engine through the stock ignition switch is not advisable. You can improve the life of the switch by adding a 40 amp relay and using the switch to energize the relay. 7.5 volts sounds like a pretty good voltage drop and with electrical circuits the ground leg is just as important. _________________ ☮️ |

I checked booth relays and they wiring fine. I also checked the voltage by disconnecting the glow plug and measuring against the engine block and surprisingly as soon I disconnected the each plug the engine begun to run ruffer. I measured 15volt on one wire agains the block and 0 volt on the other against the block. If I messure any other voltage in the car I get 12.8 to 13.0 volt. The ECU seems to run the voltage up to 15 volt at the plug???? |

Maybe the way your were measuring was not exactly correct. The glowplugs are essentially shorts to ground. A vw glowplug will draw 9 amps once it stabilizes. I have seen vw glowplugs start glowing at an excess of 75 amps. I have to be honest, I don't think I have measured the voltage at the plugs of a vw. I check for power with a test light and am more interested in the amp draw. I can determine how many are working bases on the amp draw. Maybe your glow plugs are drawing so much current it is throwing the number off. Try putting the meter between the glow plugs and the power lead coming out of the relay. If you have a value, that would be the voltage drop across that leg. Repeat from the power in leg and it should read similar. You could have a drop across the relay. _________________ ☮️ |
