I have a 1966 type 1, with a 1300 motor. When I am driving at 5-10 miles per hour, I can feel something catching and releasing as I am rolling. The only thing I can think of is the shoes may be stuck. Could this be a bad wheel bearing issue? Any suggestion or possible troubleshooting tips would be a great help! |

So the even if the E-brake is disengaged, the cable can still get stuck and keep the brakes on? |

Jack up one wheel at a time and spin by hand. You should be able to feel any dragging. |

Since it would be more noticeable at "5 to 10 miles per hour", you might also look at your return springs to see if they're strong enough to release the brakes all the way; and also partially clogged soft brake lines that are preventing (at least, partially) the brakes from fully disengaging. you are, after all, usually pressing down on the brake pedal before taking off.
Your problem may also exist at higher speeds, but you're going too fast to know it.

X2.
Remember all of the safety concerns with a car being jacked up. Make sure car is in neutral and e brake is disengaged when testing the back tires.
Just remember, safety first.
