Is this a 356 ignition switch? Need help.

I just recently purchased and received this ignition switch. It was advertised as a "356" oem part. Upon closer inspection, now I am not sure. I bought it for a friend and I do not want to send him the wrong switch.

The lock uses a K300 series key profile and has 10 receptacle connectors on the back side. The bakelite has a "K" logo and the top metal housing has part #21585.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Yes, looks like for 356BT6 and 356C . Just needs the chrome bezel to mount in
dash.
The K is for maker Kostal (spelling)?

Thank you, .My concern is that it might be for 911/912. It seems some 356 switches are shown with 10 connectors or 11 connectors The same differences seem to appear in ads for the 911/912 as well. I also see them advertised as "Kirsten" brand. Can anyone explain these nuances?

As it happens, I did not see your post. I don't know why, but I did not receive a notification that there was a second reply to my query. If I was aware of your reply I would have replied to thank you as well. As far as I could tell there was one answer and I was still waiting to see if anyone else would respond. In my original question I did state that I am appreciative of any help, and I am so thank you as well. Sorry for the mix up but the internet and messaging are not fullproof.

That may also be for an early 911/912. I know the later used a spade terminal, but I think the early also used the bullet type terminal. I'll check my 912 after work.

Yes. The other one is my headlight switch.

that is a 100 series key switch. A and T5.

"A" is for the early 356A, and the T5 is for the early 356B.
This K300 series is for the later 356B/C 1963 on.
