Is trussing the torsion tube nessasary? Ive allready have pan and body seperated and getting ready to weld a tosion bar adjuster in. If so how would you build it and what thickness af material would you use. |

1.5 x .095 with a bend under the adjuster and fill the triangle gaps with 1/8" cold roll plate works. You COULD fit the truss into notches in the underside of the yokes, instead of having it hang so very low as it would passing under the yokes.
Most race cars do not truss the torsion housing, but it is good to brace the center of the torsion from the cage.
It's also important to connect the rear torsion outer ends to the outer ends of the beam. I've seen a couple of otherwise nice Bajas which had trouble from bending the torsion housing when a wheel hit something. Neither of those had any bracing to the outer ends of the torsion. _________________ Richard
