If I let the tire inflation on my Notch fall below the recommended 16 psi in the front can I be fined up to $1,000,000 and have my vehicle impounded for 4 days if the inspection referees find out? I like the feel the tires give when I deflate them below 16 psi; I think that gives them a better grip on the road. |

Go to about 5psi and you can rip through the sand dunes. _________________ Wash your hands

With underinflated tires you will get less MPG, and they will wear out much faster. _________________ 2017 Street Comp Champion - Thunder Valley Raceway Park - Noble, OK

I wouldn't recommend it. You'll lose draft picks as well. |

Before we get too bent out of shape over it, what tires and what size are you running and what suspension/mods are there in your vehicle? All of those will make a huge difference. If your tires have 8" of tread on the ground, you (all other things being equal, usually) don't need as much pressure as if you have 4-5"
Might give more grip, might just be a perception thing. Probably has to do with allowing more squirm/slip angle. I bet it actually performs better with more pressure. (by that I mean the combination of grip and handling).
Running tires that low increases the risk of pulling the tire off the rim or damaging it on road irregularities. _________________ -Russell

OK, I take it there are a lot of non NFL fans in Sambaland who are not getting Randall's jab at Tom Brady and the Patriots. |

Or maybe it requires a southern California sense of humor like you and KTPhil also have. Maybe it comes from not having an NFL team here for the last 21 years. |

Anyone who thinks underinflating tires is a good idea should remember what happened to Ford Motor Company in the 1990s with the Explorer. Several death, class action lawsuits, a massive recall, and the end of a decades long relationship with Firestone were the end results. _________________ West Virginia State Board of Education v. The what and the who and the what?
Yep, totally missed it if that's what it was. I don't despise football or most sports, I just find it impossible to rouse any sort of even passing interest enough TO despise it.
Even negative attention is still attention and advertising. So I just live my life avoiding them as much as possible. all for participation and the sport, but when it becomes a career/profit/media I lose interest. Kind of like my 2 year old: when she's good she gets attention. When she starts to throw a tantrum I just walk away and do something else like she isn't even there. It works too, usually she winds down quick like "oh...nobodies paying attention. Fine I'll go do something more productive" _________________ -Russell
