My rear corners are not very good and was wondering if i have any options with modding later corners. What differences are there in the 55 ones? Or am i just fabbing up something special? Its the swage line into the corner window gutter that is shot!
Thanks, Sam |

considering that the proper ones cost 400 bucks, why bother?

Hi Sam.
Impressed you have maintained the stamina to keep on going with your build. Well done mate.
As your samba is a later barndoor any 23 split corner will work for the swage line. For the whole split corner it'll just be the lack of reflector pressing, wrong light hole and the section where the rear hatch gutter is that would need altering. Very doable. The biggest issue is the swage inner linning which is different due to the parcel shelf.
You could even get away with a brazilian bay corner for the swage. They are very cheap and readily available brand new.But understand the corner window is a very slightly different size overall and the metal is not the best quality. _________________ 1951 Samba 20-017894

Only suggested it if he only needs a tiny bit of metal to patch the swage line which it what it sounds like. But your right the metal quality is poor. _________________ 1951 Samba 20-017894
