I hear that not all 1950 beetles dont have rear lever shocks, I have a 11g deluxe beetle and am collecting all correct parts for a perfect restoration. The question is does my car suppose to have them or not. Thanks

There was a conversion kit that allowed upgrading to modern telescoping shocks available. Many cars had this upgrade done. But the kit was easily removed to go back to lever shocks if needed

Very interesting indeed, my 11g has a conversion kit to allow telescopic shocks. Additional bracket allows for telescopic shocks to be added. Can add photo's if needed.
