Hi everyone,
After reading The Samba for years, I thought it was time for me to share and enjoy with other members as my first splitty is on his way home.
As I was lurking on craigslist few monthes ago, I unearthed this sweet bus sitting in a barn of rural Oregon.
I think it's in fair condition and above all, it retains 90% of it's original paint.
It has some rust and dents but it remains quiet untouched outside...the interior is another story.
Feel free to give any opinion about what to start with knowing that all the brake system been gone through before the bus left the USA because three wheels were stuck because of brakes issue.
Thanks for your upcoming comments.
Here is some pics...and of course...more to come Very Happy

Great bus. Being in Europe, you'd think a bus would be found nearer to you. Is that not the case?

Yes, I don't think I'll be disappointed with the bus...
About Craigslist, I really don't know how I managed to be the first one...besides there is a 9 hours jet lag with the US west coast...the guy who picked up the car for me had to be quick to book the bus and drove straight to the owner's home.
According to the fact that most of the vw production was sent to the US market, it's quiet hard to find a decent bus at a reasonable price in Europe and if you look at the ads most of them are US import wheter it's for Split or Bay.

Here are pics of the rusted spot.
Not sure if I had to change the whole cabin floor or if a patch with a piece of a original embossed floor would be ok.
