How did you spray your bus roof?
Finally about to paint the roof first on my 71'

I'm thinking start at the rear and paint half towards the front and back down the other side and end at the back again.

You might consider painting a couple quick wet coats in the middle of the roof first. It's really hard to reach up there without accidentally rubbing against the drip rail. Then you can paint the whole roof without worrying too much about getting great coverage in the middle. I would just paint the from the middle to the drip edge on each side. I can only spray from left to right.

I'm tall and have long arms so that helps me- I did my roof by dropping the suspension (less tires) on the ground on plywood, and standing on 2x12x10 planks on milk crates. 4 coats single stage, wet sanded and buffed, and it looks great. You can see the roof just after shooting here:
