That looks like a CPR car. They get their interiors from Tony at autobahn or from autos international. Maybe if you can send them the pic they can tell you. |

I have they've told me its either can can red, or porsche red. I've asked them for the specific color code as porsche has 4 different reds, and they go silent. The interior is 4k and I don't want to make a mistake. As they are no refunds. |

Any interior shop worth anything will be happy to send you samples. I asked K&H & Autos International, both were happy to send samples. Most interior places will have slightly different color variations so it pays to look around, especially if you are trying to match something. I asked for several samples from each place. _________________ Mic

hey thanks MMW,
I beginning to believe that I'm going to have to visit the shop to match that red,
as I tried the swatch thing as well. I think I will know it when I see it.
Never thought I could be soooo prissy about red! LOL
I already sent one set back as it was not the right red. (Too maroon (3171)) |

Good question. My 1959 356A still has its original factory red interior and darker red door cappings.
I attach a photo of my interior it does look very similar to the one in your photo. Of course 56 year old seats do probably fade a bit!!
I have no code unfortunately for the red, but it was fitted to my Meissen blue car and I guess often to silver ones too.

Just looked at Charlie Whites site for upholstery codes. It would seem they added to say a Meissen blue 356BT5 the code 'A' for red uphostery. No specific actual number.
So in the file when ordered it would advise 5703A. 5703 being Meissen Blue the A specifying Red.
See his file listings

Good job he does on that info too!!!
